So…being blamed for everything wrong in, well, sometimes it sounds like forever…even when we had no part in a lot of it is privileged. Privileged because a “White” society favored “whites” in the past, (completely ignoring the fact that most of these “Whites” were viewed as undesirable ethnic minorities until about, maybe, seventy years ago. probably closer to sixty. When a White Irish Catholic President elected in the sixties sparked the same amount of social upheaval and talk of how far we’ve come as a land of equality in the 1960’s as a Black President did the last election. oh yeah, clearly “whites” were privileged.
Oh yeah, totally privileged. That’s why there are sooo many scholarships in colleges for “Just Whites” and none for “minorities.”
Wait, no…kinda think it’s the other way around…

Bloody Hel, they say white people are privileged that people see us, not a color, but considering this whole video is about seeing white people as a COLOR, I think you kinda failed at your point. In fact, I think you proved it wrong.
Oh, and we don’t get pulled over in the wrong neighborhood. Gee, I wonder if that’s because the cops are worried about pulling you over in the wrong neighborhood because something could happen. Hel, Cops don’t like pulling over in those “Wrong” neighborhoods. And no, you won’t get pulled over by the cops, but you might be carjacked. Or shot. Or raped. Or all of those. All because of your skin color.

Yeah, idk. Every time I hear something relating to how “privileged” and “terrible” it is to be white…idk. makes me pissed. I’m not a racist, I don’t care what your skin color is, but sometimes I wonder how many times people can be called racists and monsters before they finally decide to give the people doing the calling what they seem to be wanting…

Did you even watch the video that you’re claiming is “crap”? No one’s saying that you should be “ashamed” to be white, no one’s accusing you of being racist, and no one’s saying that you “chose” to be white and get the privileges that go along with that in a white-dominated society (just like no one says that non-whites “choose” not to be white and get the discrimination that goes along with that). Seriously, when was the last time you, a white person, had someone scratch racial slurs into your desk at school? When was the last time your family was harrassed at your own country’s border because you “look Middle Eastern”?
NO ONE is saying you have to “make yourself a second-class citizen” because of your skin color. What they ARE saying is that you should admit that other people DO get treated that way because they don’t share your skin color.
You just lost yourself a reader. Kiss my Scandinavian/Native American/Chinese/Middle Eastern ass!

Yeah, gonna go out on a limb and guess you and behind the scenes stuff don’t get much interaction.
I’m also going to guess you didn’t read the little notes posted in the video. Or that you don’t have a history of looking at what happens when people talk about “white privilege” and what needs to be done about it. Generally, the acceptable way to “acknowledge white privilege” is to go with some form of “white guilt” which means reparations, or bashing anything “white” or lifting up some other “oppressed group” while completely ignoring the fact that there really hasn’t been anything like “white privilege.” There’s been class privilege. There’s been “politicians” privilege. But there’s not really been “white privilege” unless you want to consider the fact that 99% of the white population, through out history, has pretty much existed as poor dirt farmers and laborers, with a very small minority that has gradually grown in the last two to maybe three hundred years, of people who didn’t live in the dirt. Oh yeah, waaay privileged there in those life styles. My grandfather got sent to an orphanage as a child because his family couldn’t afford to keep him. Sooo much white privilege there. Please, someone, stop that little boy, he’s privileged and it’s oppressing sooo many people.
So, when you look at the reality of “white” people and how they lived…yeah, white privilege is a load of bullshit.
Have I ever had anyone write something into my desk because I’m white? Nope. Heard of kids who have though. Then again, good luck getting anyone in authority to recognize a racial slur against a white person. Or, you know, it being a hate crime when some black grade schoolers light one of their white classmates on fire (article is in my archives, look for alan coon). Did almost have several people jump across their desks to try and kick my ass because of my skin color though. In college, btw. And I’m sure, if I crossed the border and came back with a tan, I probably could get harassed for looking Middle Eastern, or Hispanic. But hey, I don’t have to worry about that, because I’m white, and I wear a Mjlonir. Nope, only thing I have to worry about is being called a racist. Because that’s sooo much better.
No, no one is “telling” me to make myself a second class citizen. They just keep saying what a “privilege” it is to be white and how that’s WRONG. Well, gee, how do you correct a wrong, by making it right and giving up the thing that is wrong. So, give up your “privilege.” Great, so how do we do this. We can’t make it equality. Equality is a level playing field. We made the playing field level. Guess what, still not good enough. Now we have to over balance the playing feel, to make it right. So they imply it strongly without ever actually saying anything.
Look, everyone gets discriminated against. Everyone has a hard time. You’ve gotten it. I’ve gotten. Everyone gets it. You can get bent out of shape when someone complains, start going on about how “you never had X happen to you because of your skin tone” and you’d probably end up being wrong at this point. It’s time to get over this racial bull, and that video only propagates it. You wanna quit reading, fine. Not gonna stop you. But the world doesn’t change just because you don’t like what it is.
