So, I always suspected it, but I finally caught it happening! People do talk about me on the internet! Whooo! I truly have become important in the world!
Okay, admittedly they called me a racist and another “white” person who “doesn’t get it” and a “bad example of Heathenism.” But hey, they’re talking about me! 😀

Sadly, tumbler doesn’t let you reply back or something like that (or maybe it’s because I’m not a member). Otherwise I’d totally be tossing the philosophical Mjolnir about.
Before we get any deeper, I’d like to state it here. I’m not a racist. I am, I suppose, a religionist when it comes to a couple religions out there, but I couldn’t give a crap what color your skin is. Hel, half the time I don’t even look at people’s usernames so I haven’t got a clue what race anyone is anyways online.

First off, most of my comments were about Loki, why Loki isn’t that liked, and why a woman of “color” who goes around shouting how she’s “with Loki” (the Kinslayer, biggest crime in Norse culture, really) to a bunch of people whose religion is all about family, probably should be surprised when she get’s some hostile reactions. Also because I said I personally could forgive a bit of slavery in my past if it meant not growing up in Africa what with its AIDs epidemic, ethnic cleansing, rape of men and women and children, child soldiering, etc.

So yes, I apologize for my hateful and racist remark. I’m sorry. Those white people who lived in America should have left your ancestors happily where they were and not bothered with them. Clearly, life is truly horrible. I apologize (despite the fact I’m from Scandinavia and had nothing to do with it).

“White guilt?” I am not entirely sure what that is. I think it’s something where you feel bad for something someone else did way back before you were born, simply because they share the same skin tone as you do. Seems stupid. I don’t care what your skin tone is, or when you lived, or what you did. I’m not feeling guilty over it. Sorry. 😛

And for the record, I wasn’t encouraging other Heathens to “kick people out” when they say nice things about Loki. I was explaining why some heathens kick people out when they say nice things about Loki. There is a difference. Dumb ass. If you weren’t up on your racial high horse, you might notice that.
Oh, and I don’t know who said it, but whoever claimed I was a “white person who didn’t get it” I want to thank you for being a huge racist. You’re assuming the color of my skin means I can’t “get it.” Lame! To tell you the truth, I probably got, slapped it down on the table, and said “I don’t care!” Boo hoo, bad things happen, everyone’s mean to me!

Everyone is mean to everyone. Everyone’s life is shit. Doesn’t matter the color of your skin. Shit happened in the past. Get over it. Christians destroyed my people’s Old Ways. I get discriminated against because of my Religion and my “Race.” Don’t see me whining about it. I get up, and I carry on. And occasionally I may bitch about how stupid Christianity is, but you don’t see me stopping my whole life over it or bashing my Christian friends about how “they don’t get it.”
So yeah. Sorry I was a “racist.”

As a kid we had a neighbor who was a real dick to us kids. Kind of guy who would shit tacks if we put a toe on his lawn. My dad happened to be on the porch when said neighbor decided to chew me out for getting my ball off his lawn… Dad got up & bitched the neighbor (who happened to be black) out. Neighbor called my dad a racist. My father’s reply?
“I’m not f*ing racist! I don’t hate you because you’re black, I hate you because you’re an a**hole!”
And my reply when asked to apologize? (This one has been my catch phrase all my life) “I’m NOT sorry. And I’ll do it again, too.”
Long story to say that we all have opinions. We all have a right to share them. And not agreeing with one person’s (or one group’s) POV, doesn’t make us racist. And being a visible minority does not give people the right to BE RACIST A**HOLES against Caucasians.

Meh, dude needs to read his history up a bit. Looks Irish. I suspect he’d be in for a bit of a surprise if he got into a time machine. The WASPs hated the Irish as much as the Blacks, the English hated them worse. Year 2? He’d be dealing with the Romans trying to take over and enslave him.
The color of your skin didn’t get you a good life. Most “white” peoples have had it just as bad as everyone else in history. Often worse. “Oh look, I’m white, I have it grand!”
Hasn’t stopped me from facing sexism, racism, and religious discrimination. At all. 😛

I was speaking with my Irish friend about this. She mentioned that they rioted like whoa during the Civil War, in NY, because they knew that the freed slaves would be looking for work and at that time, it was the Irish getting paid little to nothing for all of their hard work. With the freedom of the slaves, they knew that the pay would go down and they’d have to be in open competition with this new branch of people looking for work. Similar aspects to when the Italians began migrating over en mass: they were the new “lowest man on the totem pole” people.
So, really, the color of the skin doesn’t matter in how people are openly vilified. I think it’s more in where they’re from. I was trying to find a link to a picture I saw recently… It was a picture of faces and it pretty much went to show that the Irish were more vilified and hated than the freed slaves. But, this is a pretty good image that also shows that skin color doesn’t necessarily equate to being hated:

All those race arguments are so tiring when people start throwing them around. It’s a collection of so many cliche blanket statements, yet people believe in it so strongly that they think a little white kid who’s been raped by their own parents on multiple occasions has it better than a black kid with normal parents.
And, as many people of all races have stated, talking about racism all day, every day, won’t fix it and is likely to make it worse. I *have* seen certain white people do very racist things, but few and far between. I suppose we still do have more incredibly rich whites than blacks, but those people are the same damn families who got rich years ago. There hasn’t been a whole lot of ladder-climbing in ages. I mean, there’s Bill Gates, but he was somewhat wealthy to begin with.
Black or white, if you weren’t born wealthy, you weren’t born wealthy. Other white people are not going to come and shower money on your head for being white.

If you judge any group (whether you draw lines based on skin color, sex, nationality, creed, high school football team, whatever) by its trash, you’re going to wind up hating that group. Trash is trash. There is trash in every group and I really hate trash. Regardless of what group it’s in.
Apparently this makes me a racist. I’m not racist. I’m trashist.
