So it’s pretty well known that I’m not a fan of abortion and especially not a fan of Planned Parenthood. Not because I think the murder of the innocent is wrong or that women don’t have the right to their own bodies, but mainly because…I find so little honor in how it’s done. Three people involved, but only one is given absolute say over the lives of all three, simply because of their gender.

You know, I was under the impression that giving someone special powers and privileges based solely on their sex/gender was sexist, and that sexism was a bad thing that should never be allowed. But there I go, probably misunderstanding the mortals again.

So when I come across this on Facebook, well…

planned-parenthoodWell, I just had to say something.

“Actually, a more accurate version would be: The intent here is to destroy planned parenthood, not just because we do particular services, but because we are a champion of one of the most radical ideas in history — that humanity’s evolution can be guided by science and that we should all seek the improvement of the human genome via planned parenthood and the removal of “defective” genes.

I mean, if we want to be historically accurate about the founder of PP’s intentions.”

See, the thing most people don’t know is that Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood was a Eugenicist. Since this is a thing not talked about much, eugenics was an idea that humanity could make itself a superior species to its present existence, via the use of selective breeding. At least when it started. We can all thank people’s misunderstanding of Darwinian evolution for this one.

If you have heard of this practice, it’s probably because of the Nazis. The Nazis were pretty big believers in Eugenics, and felt (naturally) that they were already a superior stock who could be made even more superior via the practice of Eugenics. Of course, there’s a few things that need to happen along with making the “superman” and that is, of course, removing the “undermen.” The Nazis decided to do this with concentration camps and mass murder.

After all, it’s a lot easier to breed better people, if the lesser people aren’t taking up the resources, trying to destroy their superiors, or offering physically attractive but genetically inferior options for matting that would cause the “superior” to waste their genes on mediocrity.

But Eugenics was a pretty wide spread ideology back in its heyday, and it included people like Sanger. In fact, the entire reason she founded Planned Parenthood was…Eugenics. But where Hitler was rounding up people and putting them into camps, Sanger had a much simpler approach. After all, why spend all the resources of building and staffing camps, when you can simply get people to come to you and kill their race with a doctor and a nurse? Doubt it was that way, well  here’s a few gems from her:

On blacks, immigrants and indigents:
“…human weeds,’ ‘reckless breeders,’ ‘spawning… human beings who never should have been born.”  Margaret Sanger,
Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people

On sterilization & racial purification:
Sanger believed that, for the purpose of racial “purification,” couples should be rewarded who chose sterilization. Birth Control in America, The Career of Margaret Sanger, by David Kennedy, p. 117, quoting a 1923 Sanger speech.

On the right of married couples to bear children:
Couples should be required to submit applications to have a child, she wrote in her “Plan for Peace.” Birth Control Review, April 1932

On the purpose of birth control:
The purpose in promoting birth control was “to create a race of thoroughbreds,” she wrote in the Birth Control Review, Nov. 1921 (p. 2)

Needless to say though…this is someone who is regarded as a great humanitarian and whose organization, to this day, is defended from all attacks and held up as a paragon of morality, equality, and goodness in our world.

So, we have two people, driven by the same ideology, engaging in much the same actions, with the same goal, and…one of them is the greatest villain in history, and one is regarded as a hero to women everywhere.

What’s the take away from all this? Is it that Planned Parenthood should be outed, denounced, and destroyed for the vile creation of a racist that it is? Is it that “Hitler did nothing wrong?” Well, I suppose I’ll leave that up to you…but I’ll tell you what my take away is.

Give people enough stuff that they want, and they will literally forgive you of absolutely anything. Hel, they’ll even lift you up as a paragon of morality and vilify anyone who objects to you, your work, or those who carry out your work.

I’ve lost track of how many people, people who consider themselves good, moral people, step up and defend Planned Parenthood to their last proverbial last breath. Why? Because they themselves, or some woman they know, received cheap/free healthcare from PP.

That’s it. PP gave out free stuff, and decades of work under the founding and guiding of a Eugenics driven racist is completely forgiven. That’s it, that is all it took. A few pills, a couple checkups, and walla.

All is forgiven, go with God.

As someone said:

The test of a quality organization is to grow beyond its roots. Regrettably, not all good things started well. Not all things started well, continue that path.
PP’s aim to provide health benefits to women, many I have known, and no other purpose.

I don’t know what rustles my jimmies more, that this argument is considered perfectly valid, or that it is so selectively applied.

I mean, really, if anyone argued this about some “white nationalist” group…they’d get laughed out of the building, assuming they were not punched senseless. All those little Neo-Nazis running around, believing in the same things as Hitler or Sanger, they get no such free pass. But, a few pills, a turn and a cough, and…apparently Eugenics is okay, we can just move past it. It’s no big deal that Sanger was attempting to wipe out the black community of the United States, along with other immigrants and degenerates. Oh no, perfectly okay.

Sanger did nothing wrong.

And anyone who objects, well…I guess they just hate women, don’t they?
