A couple days ago I posted about making a pendulum and a divination board. Well, the day after I made the pendulum and board, I ended up making a second divination board. I added a lot more alchemical elements to this one, mostly because I’m getting back into alchemy and I wanted to be able to use my pendulum to try and divine the nature of various things I work with.
As you can see, in addition to the Eldar Futhark runes, numbers, directional map, and five alchemical elements, I have added the seven planetary/metal symbols and the symbols for the three parts of being: Salt (Physical), Sulfur (Soul), and Mercury (Spirit).
Another thing I made was what I’m calling a Charging Array. It’s basic purpose is to draw the power of the elements together and, via a candle, guide that energy into me to “recharge” my energy levels. The design of it was made with the assistance of my lover, who aided my with the original pendulum project.
Sadly, it’s really hard to draw a pentagram evenly. I managed to get close enough for now though, until I can get the equipment and calculations I need. Again, I used the alchemical symbols for the elements. It’s almost done, just need to add a few runes to the center of it. They aren’t in this picture because those runes are partially influenced by my own nature, and I’m not passing that info out for now.
Lastly, I got a back up pendulum. The one I made is going to be my primary one (already did some casting with it, we’ll see if they come true), but it’s always good to have spares and frankly I like collecting stuff.
It’s made of amethyst, which is a stone I like and have many uses for. I wish there had been one made of hematite, but you can’t get everything you want in life and frankly I’m happy with this. Plus, hematite breaks apart after it gets too much negative energy in it, so durability is an issue. Which is why I don’t use hematite rune stones, as much as I would like too.
Anyways, there’s likely to be more posts on these and other craftings, so stay tuned.
Thank you for linking me here, I am very curious to see if I an make the pentagram setup work for me… I’m going to try and make one in wood, carving the actual pattern with my brand new wood carving tools (just had to say that, I am so happy to have bought those tools!). If that ends up too hard I’ll just draw one, I guess… Anyhow, I’ll post a picture once I’ve finished mine, and of course I’ll tell you how it all worked for me as well. But what about you? How have the charging array work, was it as you expected it to be? And I’m curious, where did you get the inspiration for it, was it your own idea or did you read about it somewhere? Just curious! =)

It tends to work well for me. I’d love for it to give me more power lol, as I tend to have a high level of power naturally, so it isn’t all that nice when it runs low. But it does charge me up, and probably would do better with a more substantial candle, which I need to work on.
As for the idea, I’m afraid not completely mine. One of my dear friends told me about it and helped with where things would go, but the symbols were all me and drawn from my alchemical studies.
