So, while at work I had to fill up the bird bath outside the office. Part of me can’t help but wonder about putting out standing water when we’re already going to get swarmed by bugs and mosquitoes (already seeing more than I like), but I have to admit watching birds bath is kinda cool. Reminds me I wanna get one of those humming bird feeders to put on my porch.

Anyways, after I finished filling it back up, a wasp came buzzing about. Now, I’m not a big fan of wasps. I don’t know what they do, ecologically, but they’re annoying and painful. But it pretty much ignored me (I got out of the way) and settled in the water.

And it hit me: Even the wasp, vicious though it may be, must still drink from the water like us all.
