Thanks for sharing! I agree with your criticism, this post doesn’t address those who are half-giant (Thor), or even the fact that the gods are descended from giants. There obviously isn’t a clear division between the two and that should be another post in the future. π

Well, the way I look at it, there is not “absence” of weather because there’s always weather. So a clear spring day means Freya or Freyr is about, showers and rain mean Thor, and a violent storm means Thor fights (and hailstones come from when Mjolnir hits a frost jotun :D), and snow means Skadi. It’s when these things become to extreme that we find the Jotuns about. At least to me. π
