So, as you can all guess, I went pretty much crazy when I saw the first add for The Vikings a few months ago. Norsegasm, completely. I thought it was another documentary, so I was pretty excited.

Then I found out it is a tv series.

The ground still shakes with the thunder of my squee.

My tv has been on the fritz, but thankfully I’ve managed to find the episodes out there and have managed to watch the three that are out so far. By Asgard, it is a thing of beauty. Not always of accuracy, but they’re doing a damn good job on that to my liking, at least.

It follows the story of Ragnar Lodbrok who I wrote about before, and the day celebrating him is coming up here soon actually, on the 28th actually. Three of the nine episodes have come out, and I’m hoping that there will be more to follow after this since it’s coming out so awesomely. πŸ˜€

While this isn’t a getting started post, I recommend all those who have been reading that series to get out there, watch this series, and learn from it. This can be a useful resource to our people. It’s about time time we had a show like this, that includes our Gods and our ways. I just hope the rest go as well as the first. πŸ™‚
